I’m JJ Thomas — a longtime Homewood resident, small business owner, father, and neighbor who cares deeply about the future of our city. After many months of talking with friends, neighbors, and community stakeholders who believe in practical leadership, I felt called to step forward and serve.
Homewood is at a pivotal moment and this is a critical election for our city. As we grow, we must protect what makes this place special — the charm of our neighborhoods, the strength of our small businesses, and the safety of our streets.
I bring real-world executive experience to the table. I’ve built and led a company with over 40 employees, managed hundreds of millions in regulated financial operations, and run local businesses right here in Homewood. I understand how city decisions affect families, entrepreneurs, and everyday life.
I believe in common-sense leadership, clear communication, and results that actually make a difference. I’m running to help Homewood move forward — thoughtfully, responsibly, and with the values that make this community home.
